Tilt Trays
How is a shipping container loaded by tilt tray?
The container is loaded at minimal angle onto the end of the tray by tilting the tray down to the end of the container, and then the truck is winched back under the container until fully loaded.

How is a shipping container unloaded by tilt tray?
The container is off-loaded at minimal angle from the end of the tray by tilting the tray down to the ground. Then the container is slowly ejected off as the truck is slowly driven out from under the container.

How much space does a tilt tray need for loading and unloading?
The tilt tray slide loads & unloads from the end of the truck and requires 15m of space in front of the equipment being loaded/unloaded.
Side Loaders
How heavy can the side loader lift?
Reef Groups side loaders can lift & carry up to 30,000kg under permit.
How much space does a side loader need for loading and unloading?
The side loader requires a clearance space of 6m wide, 16m long and 4.5m high and must be able to access the container from the driver’s side.
How is a shipping container loaded & unloaded by side loader?
The container is loaded or off-loaded from the side of the trailer by a front and rear crane that lifts the container between the ground and the trailer.
Hiab Crane
How is a shipping container loaded & unloaded by hiab?
The load is craned on or off the truck from either the side or the rear of the truck by a rear mounted crane that lifts the load between the ground and the truck.
How much space does a hiab need for loading and unloading?
The hiab crane truck requires a clearance space of 5m wide and 10.1m long.
How heavy can the hiab lift?
Our largest hiab can lift 6,300kg to a reach of 4m and 1,940kg to a reach of 15m.

How is a shipping container transported?
Reef Group can transport 20ft containers and smaller with our tilt tray slide trucks, side loaders, low loaders and hiab crane trucks. A 40ft container can be transported with our side loaders and low loaders.
How much does it cost to transport a shipping container?
Our tilt tray slide rate starts from $90/hour. Our slide loader rate starts from $120/hour. Our hiab crane rate starts from $130/hour.
What areas do you deliver to?
Reef Group can arrange delivery to just about anywhere! We often deliver to sites all around WA including regional areas and mine sites. If required we can even arrange for interstate transport via rail or drop your equipment at the Fremantle Ports for shipping.
Can you store my equipment before delivery?
Reef Group are able to offer short term storage. Please contact the office for more information and a quote.
