If you would like to organise any interstate transport, Reef Group can help aid you in a various range of ways. One example is to help forward your cargo to your onward destination by rail. Additionally, Reef Group also has MSIC access. That means we can arrange for your container or equipment to be delivered to Fremantle Wharf and Ports so that it can be shipped by sea.
Each of our tilt tray slide trucks is decked with our container loading and offloading system (CLOS). Our system has been acclaimed for the outstanding safe way in which it can load and unload containers (WorkSafe Award, 2005). In recent times, our CLOS system was recognised as a ‘WA Innovator of the Year’ finalist in 2015.
Here’s how a container is loaded through the use of a tilt tray. To start, the tray itself is tilted down towards the end of the container at a minimum possible angle (to the extent of 12 degrees). Once the container is placed on the tray, the truck is hauled back. This winching process continues to proceed until the container is fully loaded.
This step is then essentially reversed in order to process the unloading of the tray. Firstly, the minimum tilt is again obtained, and the unloading procedure begins. The truck then slowly backs away, which in turn pulls the tray out from underneath the container. As a result, the container is safely and steadily released from the platform.
By following the above steps, we can assure your cargo is treated with the utmost attention and care from the start of the loading phase throughout until the end unloading process. Please understand that both the loading and unloading process requires at least 15 metres of space to the fore of the container or machinery.
Our company is proud to be WA Heavy Vehicle Accredited (Main Roads WA). So if a tilt tray is required for you in WA, we are the ones to call. Every tilt tray truck that is used by our team meets the highest safety standards required and is continuously examined to guarantee that it is fit for the job. We will never deliver your container or equipment out on the road unless we are completely certain that the truck is up for the challenge.
Additionally, it is within our policy to only work with highly-trained professional drivers. All our employees hold a white card as well as a license in order to perform high-rise work. The driver in charge of your shipment will see to it that your cargo reaches its destination safely and right on time.
What’s more is that every truck within our fleet is stocked with all the equipment needed to supply live tracking and electronic documentation. In regards to this, this allows us at any time to be able to confirm the correct status of your equipment, as well as find where it is located and supply you with exact lead times for delivery.
